Hair accessories are another festival-must and can add style to any length hair. Our favourites are the flower and bead bands that come in a multitude of colours and shapes and are normally pretty budget-friendly.
A head scarf or bandanna can also provide a stylish solution if you want your hair swept back from your face or if you want to hide greasy roots.
Keeping dry (shampoo that is)
Another festival essential is dry shampoo – especially if showers are in short supply. Perfect for keeping your hair looking and smelling fresh, dry shampoo is quick and easy to use and is designed for hair that is not freshly washed.
The best way to apply dry shampoo is to spray it directly on to your routes, lightly massage it in and then brush your hair to remove any excess. Some dry shampoos recommend finishing with a quick blow dry.
There are a large variety of dry shampoos readily available in most chemists and supermarkets, but our favourite is Redken’s Pillow Proof blow dry two day extender, which not only refreshes hair but also provides extra grip for updos, helping them last longer, which is great for plaits.
If you’re still not sure which style to go for, why not book an updo at our Harrions Hair salons in Sandgate or Evegate, where our friendly, professional team can help you create your perfect festival style. We also have a range of Redken professional hair products available to buy in the salon, including the Pillow proof dry shampoo, as well as travel sized shampoos, conditioners and treatments.
